Jami Hamilton-Ansley, Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Registered Play Therapist- Supervisor.
Jami earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Human Development and Family Life at University of Kansas and her Master’s Degree in Social Work at the University of Missouri- Kansas City. Jami started her career as a teacher at a residential treatment facility for children with developmental disabilities in Boston, Massachusetts. She worked at the New England Center for Children before returning to Kansas City to earn her MSW. After earning her MSW, Jami worked as a medical social worker at Children’s Mercy Hospital for two years before finding a job working with her passion, school social work. Jami enjoys the clinical aspect combined with providing parenting support and resources in a school social work setting. Currently, Jami is in her sixth year as a school social worker for Platte County School District.
As a private practice therapist, Jami believes in the Strengths perspective and uses this framework to meet the client where they are at with care and compassion.
