Lindsey Ross, Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Registered Play Therapist.
Lindsey earned her BA in Math Education from the University of Kansas and her MA in Social Service Administration from University of Chicago. Lindsey has spent the past five years working in the Chicago and Missouri school districts as a school social worker. Currently, Lindsey works in a pre-school and elementary school in the Blue Springs School District. As a school social worker, Lindsey has had the opportunity to consult with school staff and parents in order to provide and implement successful tools for kids to use in the school and home settings. Lindsey also leads groups at an urban youth center in Kansas City, focusing on building social skills and healthy attachment.
As a private practice therapist, Lindsey believes the most important thing in therapy is to provide a safe environment in which the child can explore and express his/her feelings.

Brianne Phillips, Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Registered Play Therapist.
Brianne earned her Bachelors and Master’s Degree in Social Work from Missouri State University in Springfield, MO, and is currently pursuing her certification to become a Certified Trauma Specialist. She became the first and only school social worker implementing the only counseling program at University Academy, a charter school in Kansas City, in 2007. In the school setting, Brianne works with students and their families, but also collaborates with other health professionals and organizations. Brianne currently serves on the committee for the Metro KC Youth Collaborative through the Mother & Child Health Coalition and leads groups at a youth center in Kansas City’s urban core. As a trained Love and Logic Parent Educator, Brianne has spent time volunteering and working with victims of domestic violence, children in the foster care system, and runaways.
As a private practice therapist, Brianne’s top priority is to build a trusting and honest relationship with her clients as she believes that is the foundation of a successful therapeutic relationship.

Leah Karma Probasco-Burns, Licensed Professional Counselor, Registered Play Therapist, and Co-Founder of the Art of Play, an organization that provides Play Therapy training to individuals, schools ,and organizations.
Leah earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Missouri- Columbia and her Master’s Degree in Counseling from Missouri State University. Leah started her professional career as a School Counselor at University Academy, an inner-city school in Kansas City. There she created and implemented a counseling program providing individual and group therapy, ongoing student, teacher and parent education, and crisis intervention. Leah specializes in working with children and families suffering from traumatic situations.
In private practice, she provides a creative approach to therapy combining play therapy and expressive arts to meet the client’s needs and reach treatment goals. Leah provides on- going parent consultation to help families create a new understanding of their challenges and strengths. Leah’s core passion and motivation for working with children and families includes working on their strengths and encouraging personal and emotional growth.

Laura K. Probasco, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor, Founder of Probasco & Associates and Co-Founder of the Art of Play, an organization that provides Play Therapy trainings to individuals, schools, and organizations.
Laura earned her Bachelors and Masters of Social Work at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Laura continued her education by obtaining her Clinical and Play Therapy degree in 2006. Before starting her career in private practice, Laura worked as a school social worker at Academie Lafayette, French Charter School in Kansas City, Missouri. Laura developed and implemented the school’s first counseling program while providing education to parents and faculty. Laura has offered her expertise to numerous community organizations around the world including France, Belgium, and Africa. Recently, Laura was sent to Sierra Leone by a non-profit organization to evaluate and provide training at The Raining Season Orphanage. Laura has used her unique opportunities to develop helpful insight and guidance for families, schools, churches, and child advocacy groups.
In private practice Laura uses an eclectic approach to serve each client and their unique challenges. Laura’s creative nature helps establish a safe secure environment allowing her clients to grow emotionally and spiritually.
